...for bits of rubbish that nobody really needs, lets remember there are alternatives. There is very little if anything that most of us really need. However there are many in the world with real needs and are struggling just to survive and live a decent life. There are now so many ways that we can all do our bit and easily make a contribution that will potentially make a huge difference to somebody less fortunate. Oxfam amongst others have lead the way and there are so many great things to buy at www.oxfamunwrapped.com from as little as £5. I bought a donkey as a present last year and a goat the year before that! My choice this year is www.sightsavers.org.uk that offer help to restore sight, something that we take so much for granted. You can even set up an alternative Christmas list at www.thealternativechristmaslist.co.uk that ensures people can buy gifts for you from a whole host of charities. A great idea! There are many other schemes out there from www.sendacow.org.uk to www.savethechildren.org.uk so there are no excuses for buying those socks, again!
